Education
I have a BA in English and Czech language, literature and teaching. I have just been accepted to my CELTA course which begins at the end of February, which is an additional internationally recognised teaching qualification from University of Cambridge. I have worked for the British Council for over 16 years, managing the Examinations department which administered IELTS and Cambridge English examinations. I can teach general English, business English, I can help you prepare for IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE or BEC examinations, or if you need conversation lessons - we can do that, too.
Experience
I have tutored occasionally since 1993, and currently I am teaching two kids, aged 8 and 10. I enjoy tutoring because I like teaching, sharing my knowledge and helping someone improve their skills. I have just been accepted to my CELTA course which begins at the end of February. Working for a British institution where English is the operating language made me continually develop my language and communication skills, so that now I don't even perceive English as a "foreign" language".
Availability
Weekends after 3PM, Monday in the morning, Tuesday at any time, Wednesday in the morning, Thursday in the morning, Friday at any time

Hobbies
I love a good book and a moving film, but nothing beats baking and the way it makes the house smell :D I also love travelling - in my previous job I was lucky to be able to travel all over Europe - from Lisbon to Nicosia, from Copenhagen to Rome - I am happy to be able to say I know someone in almost every European country! :D
