Education
I have recently completed my bachelor’s degree in German and Geography at the University of Birmingham and achieved a C1/C2 level of spoken and written German. English is my native language and I gained relevant qualifications in the subject during my time at school. I have GSCEs in both English Literature (A*) and English Language (B). I would be able to assist in English speaking, writing, reading and listening practice with people from all different ages and abilities.
Experience
I worked for nine months as a foreign language assistant in a grammar school in Essen, supporting class teachers in English language lessons. I was involved in preparing and leading activities for small groups of students (4-5 students) and occasionally teaching whole classes. I also worked as an after-school English tutor (Nachhilfelehrerin) in another school in Essen, helping students between the ages of 10-16 with their English language difficulties. Prior to this, I volunteered as maths tutor in a secondary school in Birmingham, England
